FORT WAYNE, Ind.—Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) and the Office of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs are pleased to present or cosponsor events taking place in September to honor Hispanic Heritage Month. The final two events to be held on the IPFW campus will showcase Latino performing arts and the 2012 elections.

According to information supplied by the group, Son del Viento “…is a group dedicated to the jarocho music tradition, giving expression to this centuries-old fusion of Indigenous, Spanish, and African culture from the south of Veracruz, Mexico.”

Monday, October 15, from 6 to 8 p.m., “Election 2012: A Candidate Forum,” will be presented in the Walb Student Union Ballroom. Candidates for local, state, and federal offices have been invited to attend.
